Together, for Earth and for Morocco

Dear friends,

It is a special time of year – and a special week. We are celebrating the earth, our volunteers and partners, and the holy month of Ramadan.

With the close of the planting season, our team is now visiting villages in 39 provinces across Morocco to monitor the 700,000 trees planted this year and provide capacity strengthening with 6,000 farmers. Monitoring trees is the major vehicle for measuring impact as we work toward the evaluation of sequestered carbon to create circular reinvestment into Morocco’s farming communities.

Partners have brought Morocco to this milestone: Ecosia, the National Initiative for Human Development, UWC Robert Bosch College, FRÉ Skincare, the University of Virginia, FENELEC, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, PUR Project, the U.S. Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, and 31st Union.

In our April 2021 newsletter, we elaborate on how HAF is taking action to reverse climate change and enhance the sustainable livelihoods of small landholders, invite you to celebrate #EarthDay2021 with us, and update you on exciting developments.

We sincerely hope you are inspired to take action with us. Read more here.
