Amine Alami

Born and raised in Morocco, Amine Alami moved to the U.S. in 2001 to pursue his graduate studies at Georgia Tech where he earned a Master’s degree in electrical engineering and an MBA focused on renewable energy and finance. During his tenure there, Amine led lab research on high-efficiency solar cells at the University Center of Excellence for Photovoltaics and was a key member of the 2007 university team that built a standalone solar battery-powered house that competed in the Department of Energy’s biannual Solar Decathlon competition on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. In 2008, Amine moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to embrace several leadership roles in the energy industry, including in M&A, development, financing, and the building of solar utility scales and energy storage projects throughout the U.S. Amine has worked with companies such as MMA Energy Capital and Fotowatio Renewable Ventures, SunEdison, RES Americas, and, most recently, Swinerton.  Throughout his career, Amine has focused on several aspects of the value chain of building and operating renewable energy projects, spanning technology research and development, supply chain management, project commercial development, including design and engineering, procurement, construction, and operations. Amine is a certified Project Management Professional and speaks four languages (Arabic, French, Spanish and English). He is passionate about climate technology and innovative and sustainable business models that enable the expansion and adoption of clean energies.
