Amal was born in Er-rich, Morocco. She received both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Urban and Regional Planning from the National Institute of Urban Planning and Regional Development (INAU) in Rabat. As an urban planner, Amal has worked on various projects related to heritage preservation, sustainable development, natural risk management, and urban upgrade and renewal. She has conducted field visits throughout both rural Morocco and major cities alike, creating development strategies and land use plans for different territories throughout the country. Amal joined HAF in 2021 as a Field Coordinator for the USAID Religious and Ethnic Communities Activity (REMA). amal@highatlasfoundation.org
