Our earth, our planet, our home!

The best part about having a home is that it will hold everything you experience. Not only happiness but everything else you feel deep inside your heart.

Our planet earth is the home we live in, the place that gives us life, that allows us to share and love.

April 22 is the day we celebrate our mother earth; to appreciate the blessings we are given from it. It is a day designated by the United Nations General Assembly to celebrate life on our planet and remind the people worldwide that we must look after the earth the same way it looks after us every day!

Additionally, this day is dedicated to ensuring harmony between people, animals, and nature. It is well known that the UN has made significant efforts to establish several workshops and initiatives such as the “Harmony With Nature” platform, which offers an environmental viewpoint and opportunities for new collaborations, in addition to raising awareness and appreciation of the earth.

International Mother Earth Day, also known as Earth Day, has been a global event since 1970. It was first established by Senator Gaylord Nelson in the United States of America. Today, most people are aware of the importance of this day. The Earth Day Network collaborates with over 17,000 organizations and partners. What is fascinating is that more than 1 billion people are involved in Earth Day activities around the globe.

The High Atlas Foundation helps to preserve the environment through its various programs with farmers, women’s cooperatives, and schools and is proud to celebrate the earth not only on this day but every day.

Earth Day is a reminder to never take what we have – our home – for granted. Let’s commemorate it as such.
