The Development of the hAF-hA3 Value Chain

Green Sahara Furniture (GSF), based in Casablanca, Morocco, designs and builds unique, handcrafted, and sustainable furniture and wood decor items.  They use natural wood shapes and reclaimed pieces from pruned and fallen trees in many of our projects and they partner with the High Atlas Foundation regarding tree planting, irrigation, and other community development projects in Morocco.

This 2 minute video features some of GSF’s work at Kasbah Tamadot, a hotel south of Marrakech owned by the Virgin group and Sir Richard Branson;  a visit to Tassa Ouirgane, an HAF partner village and where some of GSF’s employees hail from; and finally, a tour of GSF’s workshop in Casablanca where we’re crafting natural wood bowls and jewelry boxes bound for the Home Shopping Network in the US.  Enjoy!
