On the 25th of February, the Farmer to Farmer (F2F) team visited Konouz Lakdirate cooperative in Douar Lakdirate, Jnane Bih, Youssoufia province.

Konouz Lakdirate cooperative was established after doing a full four days of Imagine workshop with a group of 22 women who drew their visions during the work activity, which was a part of the empowerment exercises.

Women had a lot of things to share and to talk about: their hopes, dreams, and needs. They did not know that their dreams and needs would come true after the training workshop. Their work vision included establishing a cooperative of 26 women, digging three wells, and building a nursery for fruit trees: carob, pomegranate, and other types. As one of the members said during our follow-up meeting, it is a great blessing.

In order to preserve these blessings, the women requested training relevant to nursery management, to learn how to plant and water seedlings, to preserve them, as well as to conduct a feasibility study in this regard. All these needs were provided by the F2F technical assistance program, which was provided through the local volunteer, whose mission was to help these women move forward in their work.

Today’s follow-up showed many positive results that women have achieved, especially with regard to planting the carob and pomegranate cuttings in the greenhouses before February 2022, which was one of the volunteer’s recommendations.
